How I keep on top of my work with a baby

 It's hard juggling life as a mum as well as working. I am forever thankful for the job I have, but I still find it tough even with my job to work with a baby, so I thought I would talk more about how I manage to cope. Every night before bed, I make a to-do list of everything I need to achieve in the day. Right at the top of the list is all the household chores, appointments and things like that, stuff that needs to be done to keep my household up and running. Once I have everything that has to be done, I add to the list with things that I want to get done for work,  in order of most important to get done to least important.  My list will look something like this: Appointment at 12 with GP Cook dinner A load of diapers washed  Hang up diapers Wash baby clothing Hang up baby clothing Dishes Film What I eat in a day youtube video Write 1 blog post Continue editing project hope By doing this, I can ensure that the things that have to be done get done. For me, work is my last priority;

How to keep up on housework

Keeping on top of housework can be hard, whether that be because you work full time or because you have children running around the house—whatever the reason, I can understand getting behind.  I used to go weeks without cleaning, and the house would pile up with mess and become too much to handle, and I would have to spend a whole day cleaning up and then I would be tired. People think that everything has to have a place and if it doesn't then, you'll never be able to keep the place tidy, which is false. I live in a tiny two-bedroom house, and the only rooms that everything has a place for are my daughters' room, the kitchen and the bathroom. The living room and my bedroom are storage to put it lightly, but I still manage to keep it tidy, and this is how. First is something everyone dreads; get on top of the mess. If you start with a clean house, then your life will be a lot easier, trust me. While it feels like a lot to get on top of it now, you will feel better starting

Gift ideas for christmas 2021

It's coming to the time of year where I am starting to plan out what to get everyone for Christmas; This year, there are so many people to buy for than usual, which is strange. I have been looking across the online stores, and it got me thinking; I like a lot of people who are on a budget. Unfortunately, most website lists are compiled of things that, let's be honest, are overpriced unless you have been saving up for over a year or only plan to get everyone one present.  My list is for all of those that want to stick to a specific price range.  Disclaimer: Prices and availability will vary depending on what country you are in and where you go to buy the items. Five things i've learned from being a mum

Being a teen mum isn't easy, but it is very rewarding. I have learned so much by being a mum that I thought I would share what I've learned so far with you guys. Disclamier I dont condomm teen pregnancy 1.) How much you can love someone: I didn't know I could love someone as much as I love my daughter. I am always tired and run off my feet, but even when things are rough, I look at my daughter, and my heart swells with love. 2.) You can never be prepared: No matter how much stuff you buy for baby, How much you pack for trips or to run into town to go shopping, things never go to plan, and you will randomly experience a time where no matter how much you tried to prepare it was all for nothing. 3.) You can't make everyone happy: People will always find something to disapprove on wheater it is you choosing to cloth diaper or what you dressed your child in for the day; I learned to not listen to other people and only care about what my partner and myself find work for o

5 Best newborn products

Newborns don't actually need a lot of things, surprising. This is a list of my favourite newborn products that I'm glad I got for my baby. I'm not going to go into essentials like clothing or anything like a pram etc. those are things that are needed no matter what. Large diaper bag : I love having a large diaper bag because it means I have more space to put things in, and I can keep a spare top for myself to change into if I need. Co-sleeper (next to the bed): I got a cosleeper instead of a coat or bassinet. (it does double as a bassinet, though) and I found it so handy. It has a storage shelf down the bottom which I loved because I could keep everything I needed through the night right there, and I didn't have to get up. Diaper caddy:  This was a live saver. In the mornings instead of taking five trips into the bedroom to move us into the living room I could easy put everything I need for the day in the diaper caddy and then take it into the living room while carryi

How to save money

Now that I am a mum, I find our money doesn't last as long as it did, which makes sense, but it got me thinking about how I am managing for us to still save up to buy our own house and how other people could use my way to save money themselves. I have made a post a while back on how to budget , which plays a key role in how I save money now. Any money we want to spend in the fortnight is accounted for in our budget.  After creating our budget, I work out how much money we have leftover after bills each pay.  Say we make $1,300 a week, but have to pay $1,000 a week on bills (Random numbers as an example). It would mean we have $300 leftover each week to put into savings. I make a list of everything we need to buy or spend money on soon in order of urgency, and make sure that I include an overestimate price so that we are not short when it comes to needing to spend the money. I also include when we need to spend the money by in the case of appointments etc. Take the car to the mecha

what I put in my diaper bag

Now that I have my daughter, I no longer need my diaper bag to be filled with things for the hospital. I need to use it for the job it's intended for.  I wanted to make a post with a list of the things that are in my diaper bag for my daughter {and myself} I haven't put how many of each item because it changes depending on if we are just going into town or if we are going out to see family. Five nappies  Pack of Bamboo wipes One small tub of Sudocream Portable change pad One wet bag  One spare change of baby clothing One pacifier  Swaddle blanket for burping Swaddle blanket for warmth Spare top for me lip balm Keys Nipple cream Hand sanitiser One set of breast pads Period pads/ tampons As she gets older, I will add things as we need to or as I find that when I'm out, I'm missing something. It's really trial and error at the moment and will be for a while.

Best pregnancy products

My pregnancy journey has come to an end, and I feel so happy to have my daughter here with me, but I got to thinking about my pregnancy and decided this post would be beneficial for those of you still expecting your babies.  These are the pregnancy products that I found to be the best things in the world. Bio-oil- I couldn't stand the smell of the palmers stretch mark cream, and I found it too hard to apply anyway.  Pregnancy pillow- it's so hard to get comfortable while pregnant, which is why I loved having my full body pregnancy pillow because I could get comfortable fast. Wristband for nausea- I was always sick my pregnancy, and the only thing that helped was the seasick wrist bands that relieve nausea using acupressure Water bottle- You drink a lot of fluids when pregnant so having a cute water bottle is a must. Belly band- I never used one. To be honest with how my daughter was sitting, it wouldn't have helped, but I know this is a must-have for many women, which i

How I got to where I am today on social media

I am not going to lie and say it has been easy for me to get where I am today. I have spent endless hours building up my platforms.  Sometimes though, it's out of our hands, and all we can do is go along for the ride.  I will be sharing today how  I got to where I am now on my different social media platforms with my top ticks and honest answers on how I think I did it. Instagram: Good old Instagram, everyone seems to want to get big on Instagram, and while some people find it really easy, it can be the complete opposite. Sharing your Instagram posts and profile around on Twitter, Snapchat, and even Facebook groups can really be helpful for getting your content seen but remember that follow for following isn't ideal and will actually hurt you in the long run. Taking high-quality pictures that arent blurry will help and try and not repeat content on your Instagram. Throwback, Thursdays are really helpful to post old pictures but don't do one you posted only two weeks ago.

How I plan out a years worth of blogging content in under a week

Planning and keeping on top of blog posts can be a mission at times, especially if you have no idea what to post. The worst feeling in the world is getting the motivation to sit down and write only to realise you have no idea what you want to post this month. You spent hours working it out only to lose motivation.  This used to happen to me all the time, until one day, I decided to make a change. I tried countless different ways to organise blog posts for a year, but nothing seemed to work for me until I decided to make up my own way, and now I am two years ahead with blog post planning.  You don't need much for this either. All you will need is: Something to write your content out (I use OneNote to keep track but you can use anything you want.) The internet Time Your brain To start off with, work out how often you want to post on your blog. I will be using this blog for all my examples with actual posts for this year. I post twice a month at 1pm each day, so what I would do to sta

Ways to make extra money

Making money is no easy task; we spend our whole lives working to still struggle or to have to prioritise other things. Some people do have it easier than others, though, but no matter your reasoning behind why you want to make some extra money, I have compiled a list of ways to make money on the side. These will not make you rich by any means; some will get you more than others; I have also written a little bit about each one so you can decide what you want to research more into. Disclaimer: I haven't tried 99% of these. I have no real way of knowing which sites are legit or not, so tread carefully if you want to do any of these. Selling unneeded items- Selling unwanted or unneeded items can be a real space saver. Have you down your season clear-out and found you have a pile of things you no longer want? Instead of throwing them in the trash, sell them online. You may not make a lot of money, and it can take a while for anyone to buy them, though. Selling old clothing- Selling o

Why I love blogging

I started blogging back in 2018 and now run three blogs, and while it has been a roller coaster of emotions, neglecting the blogs and thoughts of why I even bother, I do actually enjoy blogging.  Blogging is a way I can express myself or put information down that won't only help you guys but could also help me in the future. It's a place I can share my life in a way that isn't a video format. I can be 100% real on my blog, and it not come across a way I don't mean it to (though that can still happen) because I had to edit the video to limit the hateful comments about the length of the video. I can censer my words if need be, which is a blessing when you have no filter on your mouth. I also like that I can write a whole year worth of blog posts, and no one would be none the wiser. With youtube, people would realise if you pre-filmed a year or even half a year of content and then randomly filmed yourself.  I'm almost due to give birth when this blog post comes out, bu

Whats in my hospital bags

With just over a month until baby girl is due, I had to finally finish packing the hospital bags for if she comes early or even if she doesn't so that I don't have to worry about anything. I had been slowly packing them for a while but hadn't actually finished them. I did film a video about what was in the hospital bags if you want to watch it: Babies Hospital bag:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_KJKHBCOtQ My partner and I's bag:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5lv6kiuizc I have no idea how much of this I will use. However, I am having to birth at the hospital instead of the birthing unit, so we will still be close to home, meaning if I have to spend more time in the hospital, I can get my partner to come home and grab me some more clothing or whatever I need especially since he will be having to come home to feed our cat anyway. I did pack for three days just to be on the safe side of things. I also don't know what the hospital will provide because we live in

My daily routine as a pregnant teen

Not only am I a pregnant seventeen-year-old, but I also work from home, so my daily routine isn't what you may expect. I am going to walk you through a full day in my life.  I usually film daily routines on youtube, but I have to cut so much out to keep the length of videos short or because it's boring to watch, so this way, you can get the complete picture of my daily routine. It does change on weekends, but through the weekdays, it's almost identical.  Every day I wake up at 6:30am to my alarms telling me to get out of bed. I wake my partner up so he can get ready to leave for work and then I will go feed the cat before sitting on the couch talking to my partner while he gets ready for work. 7:15am I say goodbye to my partner as he leaves for work, and I start making breakfast and make my morning coffee. I will then sit on the couch, waking up until 8-8:30, when I will finally jump in the shower and get ready for the day. If I have enough washing, I will put a load of was

How I keep track of blog posts I have made.

When you have been blogging for a while, it can be hard to remember what blog posts you have and haven’t written. Later on this year, I will be releasing a blog post all about how I plan out a year’s worth of blogging material, but for today’s blog post, I thought I would talk about how I keep track of all the blog post I have written across all three of my blogs.  My main way to keep track is by using one note. A free notebook that you can get on both your phone and laptop, and the handy thing is on your computer; you don’t even have to download an app because they have a website. Onenote is all done through windows, and yes, you can use your Gmail password and login to use one note which is really handy.  I have loads of notebooks, as you’ll see in the photo below.  In my notebook titled blog, I have the names of each of my blogs listed down, and planning is how I plan out all my blog post content which I’ll be covering later on. But if I were to go onto any of the notebooks for my b

Differences between my two pregnancy's

Pregnancy is meant to be an amazing time.  For those of you who didn't know, my first pregnancy when I was 14 landed up as a miscarriage, but my second pregnancy, the baby I am carrying now, has made it all the way through to viability, so I thought I would share the two pregnancy experiences. My first pregnancy . Back in 2018, I fell pregnant with twins when I was only fourteen years old. I found out quite early on I was pregnant. I didn't have much morning sickness, and the major symptom I had was my back pain; it was super bad, and I used to find it hard to walk at times. At that time, I was sleeping on a single mattress on my bedroom floor because my room was so small, and I didn't have room for a bed with my couch in the way, which could have been contributing to that.  Other than that, I didn't get many symptoms to say; the twin's father left me after I started bleeding, but it wasn't very much, so I didn't expect a miscarriage until I went for my fir

Blog post ideas 2021

Back in 2019, I did a post on 100 Youtube video ideas . I have also done posts on Tips to do with blogging and How I plan my blog posts .  Scrolling through past blog posts, I realized I have never actually done a blog post on post ideas; there are so many ideas out there, so I have no idea how I forgot to even consider making this blog post sooner.  There are so many blog post ideas out there for every niche; this  is a board I made on Pinterest all about blogging which has a section dedicated to blogging post ideas. I have divided this up into category to make it easier to find content ideas for your blog niche. I have only put Ten ideas in each list just to keep from overcrowding. I am dividing it up into groups of ten for Food Beauty&fashion Relationship Mom Writing Random Title templates Food Post Ideas Date night meal ideas Favourite spots to eat Easy snack ideas Favourite food YouTubers/Instagrammers/tv-shows Cheap meal ideas Food diary Your favourite (county) recipe Comfo

Pregnancy tag | seventeen and pregnant

 1. How and when did you find out you were pregnant? In October, I kind of had a feeling I was pregnant and tested eight days after when I ovulated. (I have endometriosis and feel when I ovulate, so it's very easy for me to pinpoint different times in my cycle because of pain levels, and I can also feel when my egg is released.) the test came up negative, which I should have expected because one, it was way too early to find out, and two, I took the test in the afternoon on a non-sensitice test; cue eye roll. The day before I found out I went on a hike with my partner and his friends and I was really mad and bitchy to everyone, everything was getting on my nerves and I was also sore from all the walking and climbing. I usually have horrible mood swings leading up to my period, but this was ten times worse than normal everything was setting me off, and the slightest thing would make me cry. I just thought my period was going to be really bad this month and thought nothing of it beca

Rebranding my business

I started  BeautyQueens Beautys back in April 2019, and nothing really came off it. I made an Instagram account, had business cards made, and even tried to sell my dream catchers.  Sadly, in my business's lifespan, I only sold a total of about five dream catchers, which left a lot of stock. In January, I decided to try and rebrand my business; this post is what I have done so far to rebrand my business and what my next steps are. I started by removing all my old posts and photos. I saved the best images, made them into better-looking posts, and just put them straight onto the Facebook page. I spent about two hours editing the photos, thinking of the captions and tags to get the best coverage. At the moment, I am making a dreamcatcher for my child, which is one of my most complicated dream catchers yet. When the dream catcher is finished, I will be posting it on Tiktok to try and get more public attention on my creations as well as starting to list them online for sale through my F

First trimester must haves

I am now very much in the second trimester, and this is what I really found I needed in my first trimester; I had the worst morning sickness and started showing in the first trimester as well. Bucket for throwing up Seaband to help with nausea Dry ginger ale was the only way I could eat anything; after every mouthful of food, I needed to take a sip Water crackers for bad days of vomiting Prenatal pill  Maternity clothing what were your first-trimester must-haves?

Top 10 blogging tips

When you start blogging, it can be hard to know where to start, but here are some tips to get you started. I want to note that there is no real way to blog, so no matter what direction you take, just keep working on it until its successful.   Get ideas from your readers: At the end of the day, your readers are the people who will be reading it, so they know what they want to see; however, this won't be the best if you don't have a lot of readers and no one comments. Sign up for blogging mail lists: This can give you more ideas on attracting more readers and giving you tips from people who have mastered their blogging readership. Build your own email list: You don't need to sell anything but this can help readers get to know you better and also means your readers will know when new posts are published, so you don't have to worry about having people find your blog through a search engine as much. Be consistent: If you upload posts all over the place, it can be challen

How I schedule my work week

I have a lot on my plate. Between blogs, Wattpad, YouTube, novel writing and writing for a competition, let alone cleaning the house, cooking, appointments and more.  I thought I would let you guys in on how I manage to keep up with everything {I will have a fake example at the end}. every Friday I sit down in the afternoon before my partner comes home with my laptop, food planner, phone and Schedule. The first thing I will do is plan out what I will be cooking for the week. I do this so I know exactly what to buy in my shopping but also so I know each day what time I need to start cooking and be done for the day by.  I don't have a set time I start work. I am typically awake by six-thirty when my partner gets up to go to work but some days I will go back to sleep and others I will start right away it really depends on how tired I am. I only work Monday to Friday now because my partner now has a job where he gets every weekend off so I have to get all my work done in a matter of f

Plans for 2021 | goals & schedule

I love having goals, so I have a sort of plan towards the year, so I know what to work towards. I hope I can get most of these goals done, but I won't be upset if I don't because I know I will have tried as much as possible to get there at the end of the day. 2021 is also going to be a hectic year because I am due to have my child in July of this year, so dealing with a newborn and pregnancy with these goals will be difficult.   My goals for the year 2021: Take better care of myself Finish writing and editing my books from 2020 Publish three books Have 2k youtube subs Have 500 Twitter followers Have 2.5k Instagram followers Have 7k TikTok followers My schedule for the year: {All times in New Zealand timezone} Youtube: upload a minimum of twice a week on Monday and Friday at 1pm Wattpad: upload twice a month minimum (One chapter a book if not more) Blogs: Main blog: 1st and 15th of every month at 1 pm Endometriosis blog: 12th of every month at 1 pm Writing blog: 12th of every
