How to keep up on housework

Keeping on top of housework can be hard, whether that be because you work full time or because you have children running around the house—whatever the reason, I can understand getting behind.

I used to go weeks without cleaning, and the house would pile up with mess and become too much to handle, and I would have to spend a whole day cleaning up and then I would be tired.

People think that everything has to have a place and if it doesn't then, you'll never be able to keep the place tidy, which is false. I live in a tiny two-bedroom house, and the only rooms that everything has a place for are my daughters' room, the kitchen and the bathroom. The living room and my bedroom are storage to put it lightly, but I still manage to keep it tidy, and this is how.

First is something everyone dreads; get on top of the mess. If you start with a clean house, then your life will be a lot easier, trust me. While it feels like a lot to get on top of it now, you will feel better starting this with a clean house.

Once you have a clean house, find an hour a day to clean. I always do this in the mornings after I eat breakfast, but you can do this at night time if you need to.

Every day in that hour you will do

  • The dishes, making sure to wipe countertops and stove top down every time.
  • Pick up any rubbish you have left around the house.
  • Put kids toys away.
  • Fold any washing and put it away.
Then once a week (or how many days a week you need to, depending on your situation), you will
  • Vacuum, sweep and mop.
  • Take the rubbish out.
  • Clean the bathroom {toilet, bath shower etc}
  • Change the bedsheets
  • Dust
  • Gardening.
Every few days, do a load of washing.

Whatever else you have to do, add it into one of the two categories. When you are cleaning, blast music or have the tv on and get to work. You will feel so much better having a nice clean house, and it will become routine, so you won't have to push yourself to do it.

Moving to a new country | with kids

Moving to a new country can be exciting but nerve wracking add in children and it can feel overwhelming to say the least, today I want to share all the advice and tips I have to move overseas after having just made an overseas move for myself with my two young daughters.   Mid January I moved from New Zealand back to Australia, some of you may know that I was actually born in Australia and lived over here until 2011 so for me this was about returning home but for my kids it was moving countries for the first time and while my youngest had no idea what was going on as she was only 3 months old my eldest had a range of emotions and it was honestly quite tough on her at times.   My first bit of advice is to just talk about the move, explain why you’re moving and what to expect in an age-appropriate way so that they can better understand what is going on, talk about all the positives with the move    that would interest them from new experiences to making new friend...

How to tell if you are a rebound or if the guy really likes you

Oh, the agony, you are talking to a guy, and he is giving mixed signals about if he really likes you or if he is pretending to use you as a rebound; well, I have compiled a list for both to help you work out what you really are. We have all been there at least once in our lives; you start talking to a guy, and you can not make sense about how he is really felling; there are a few telltale signs about what you are. Now rebounds are not just sleeping around; they can be emotional too. A rebound is only a relationship or relations that happen while they are still getting over there partner. 90% of rebound relationships will fall apart within three months, but how long it takes to heal from a relationship depends on how long the relationship was, the person and if the relationship was over way before it actually ended. some signs you are just a rebound are: they are totally in love with you even though you haven't known each other long your relationship moves really fast...
