How I schedule my work week

I have a lot on my plate. Between blogs, Wattpad, YouTube, novel writing and writing for a competition, let alone cleaning the house, cooking, appointments and more.

I thought I would let you guys in on how I manage to keep up with everything {I will have a fake example at the end}.

every Friday I sit down in the afternoon before my partner comes home with my laptop, food planner, phone and Schedule.

The first thing I will do is plan out what I will be cooking for the week. I do this so I know exactly what to buy in my shopping but also so I know each day what time I need to start cooking and be done for the day by.

I don't have a set time I start work. I am typically awake by six-thirty when my partner gets up to go to work but some days I will go back to sleep and others I will start right away it really depends on how tired I am. I only work Monday to Friday now because my partner now has a job where he gets every weekend off so I have to get all my work done in a matter of five days.

Once my food is planned out and my shopping list is written I work out how long it will take me to make the meal so that I can write it down what time each day I need to finish by to make sure tea is ready when he gets home (latest when he gets out of the shower)

I then pull out my phone and work out what appointments I have, if they are at my home (like midwife appointments) or if I have to walk to them and what time they are and time I have to leave the house to get to them in time.

Next is to work out what I have to get done that week. I do this by making a list of everything I need to get done like filming, editing etc. here is a fake example of a list

Need to do for work.

  • film two youtube videos (video one name, video two names)
  • edit and upload youtube videos
  • advertise
  • write a chapter for Wattpad {book name}
  • freelance work
  • write for endo blog
  • write on comp
  • write on projects love, murder.
  • edit project choice

once I have all the information I need to make my work week I write it all up. I don't set time frames for any of it.

Here is a fake list so you can see how it looks it the end.

Moving to a new country | with kids

Moving to a new country can be exciting but nerve wracking add in children and it can feel overwhelming to say the least, today I want to share all the advice and tips I have to move overseas after having just made an overseas move for myself with my two young daughters.   Mid January I moved from New Zealand back to Australia, some of you may know that I was actually born in Australia and lived over here until 2011 so for me this was about returning home but for my kids it was moving countries for the first time and while my youngest had no idea what was going on as she was only 3 months old my eldest had a range of emotions and it was honestly quite tough on her at times.   My first bit of advice is to just talk about the move, explain why you’re moving and what to expect in an age-appropriate way so that they can better understand what is going on, talk about all the positives with the move    that would interest them from new experiences to making new friend...

The benefit of learning a new language and tips on how to do it

Learning a new language can be such a rewarding learning experience. I have been using Duolingo since April 2022 to learn Spainish after years of struggling but wanting to learn the language. I now have had a streak since the 10th April 2022 without missing a day and have learned a lot so I though I would compile a list of the benefits of learning a new language and some tips on how to do it for those of you who also want to learn another language.  Benefits of learning a new language 1. Cognitive enhancement: Learning a new language can boost your memory and recall abilities. Multilingual individuals also tend to have improved problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. 2. Cultural Awareness: Language learning provides a deeper understanding of other cultures and perspectives. Knowing the local language also enriches travel experiences and interactions with locals. 3. Career Advantages: Being bilingual or multilingual opens up more job opportunities and can lead to higher...
