Ways to take care of your skin for acne


 I have struggled with acne ever since I was a preteen and it’s never gotten better but here are my tips I have found to help take care of your skin with acne. 

  1. Keep your skin clean. Gently wash your face up to twice daily and after sweating. Choose a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser.
  2. Stick to your treatment.
  3. Keep your hands off.
  4. Take off your makeup before you go to sleep. When buying makeup, make sure you choose brands that say "noncomedogenic" or "nonacnegenic" on the label. Throw away old makeup that smells or looks different from when you first bought it.
  5. Protect your skin from the sun. It may seem like a tan hides acne, but it's only temporary. A tan may worsen your acne, not improve it. Tanning also causes damage to skin that will eventually lead to wrinkles and increase your risk of skin cancer.
