Human trafficking

January is human trafficking awareness month, and because this is the only month that it's only known for one thing, I decided to dedicate this month's blog to bring you all more aware. The meaning of human trafficking: Human trafficking is the trade of humans for the purpose of forced labour, sexual slavery, or commercial sexual exploitation for the trafficker or others.  The 3 most common types of human trafficking are sex trafficking, forced labour, and debt bondage. Forced labour, also known as involuntary servitude, is the biggest sector of trafficking globally, according to the U.S. Department of State International Definition.  Forced or compulsory labour is all work or service exacted from any person under the threat of a penalty. The person has not offered himself or herself voluntarily. Forced labour can include forced sexual services.
